Privacy policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

AdsOnBread is built to be privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers three groups of people: users of browser extensions that show our ads, developers who monetize extensions with us, and advertisers who run campaigns with us.

The short version

  • We do not build profiles of extension users, set cookies for ad targeting, or track people across websites.
  • Ad selection is contextual: it is based on the extension category, the requested ad format, and the language — not on who you are.
  • For developers and advertisers, we collect the account information needed to run the marketplace, review applications, bill campaigns, and pay out earnings.
  • We never sell personal information.

Data we collect from extension users

When an extension using the AdsOnBread SDK requests an ad, our delivery service receives the request the same way any web server does. To serve and count the ad, we record:

  • The extension and campaign involved, the ad format (card or banner), and the requested language.
  • A coarse, country-level location derived from the network request, used for aggregate reporting. We do not store precise location.
  • An anonymous impression identifier so that a click can be matched to the impression it came from, for billing accuracy and fraud prevention.

We do not collect names, email addresses, browsing history, or page content from extension users. The SDK does not store data in the user's browser, does not set cookies, and does not use fingerprinting. IP addresses are processed transiently to deliver the response and for security purposes (such as rate limiting and abuse prevention), not for ad targeting.

If you click an ad, you are taken to the advertiser's landing page. The advertiser's own privacy policy governs what happens on their site.

Data we collect from developers and advertisers

When you apply for or hold an AdsOnBread account, we collect:

  • Account details: name, email address, and password credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Stytch; we never see or store your plaintext password).
  • Application details: information about your extension or company that you provide during review, such as extension listings, install metrics, and business descriptions.
  • Billing and payout details: advertiser payments are processed by Stripe, and we store payment status and amounts — not card numbers. Developer payouts use the PayPal or Wise email address you save in your payout settings.
  • Delivery statistics: impressions, clicks, spend, and earnings associated with your campaigns or extensions.
  • Operational records: emails we send you (such as approval notices), support correspondence, and security logs including hashed IP-based rate-limiting records for login protection.

How we use data

  • To deliver, measure, and bill contextual ads at the agreed CPM.
  • To review applications, campaigns, and creatives so the marketplace stays trustworthy.
  • To calculate and pay developer earnings.
  • To secure the service: preventing fraud, abuse, invalid traffic, and unauthorized account access.
  • To send necessary service emails such as application decisions and account-creation links. We do not send marketing email.
  • To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting requirements.

Service providers we share data with

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each acting on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, storage, security (including the Turnstile bot check on our forms), and aggregate analytics.
  • Stytch — account authentication, including password reset emails and optional two-factor authentication.
  • Stripe — advertiser payment processing.
  • PayPal and Wise — developer payouts, using the payout email you provide.
  • Resend — transactional service emails.
  • Sentry — error monitoring, so we can find and fix failures.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of AdsOnBread, its users, or others. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share extension-user data with advertisers beyond aggregate campaign statistics.

Data retention

Account, billing, and earnings records are kept for as long as you have an account and afterwards as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Delivery statistics are retained in aggregate to provide historical reporting. Transient security data, such as rate-limiting buckets, expires automatically.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Developers and advertisers can view and update most account information directly in their portal. For anything else — including account deletion — contact us at support@adsonbread.com and we will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Because we do not build profiles of extension users, there is typically no stored personal information for us to retrieve about an individual ad viewer.

Children

AdsOnBread accounts are for businesses and developers and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. Advertiser campaigns must not target children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For material changes affecting account holders, we will give notice through the portal or by email.
